(a note from my wife)
I'm sorry to send you all an email - I so wish I had the energy to call each of you.
Emma Grace Abler was born to heaven yesterday, July 9, at 10:03 am. She was 4 lbs, 3 oz and 18 inches long. Although we did not have a chance to meet her alive, every other wish, hope and prayer we had for her was answered. We know she did not suffer -- most you know that was my greatest concern during this whole time. As one friend told me, she went from one perfect world to another, and knowing this brings me a tremendous amount of comfort. We were able to spend a lot of time with her and our family yesterday and couldn't have received better care and understanding from our doctors and nurses. As sad as this whole experience has been, there has also been a tremendous amount of laughter and joy. Yesterday was like that, too.
There have been several miracles that her life has brought to ours. We are so blessed to have had so many wonderful months with her.We are having a small ceremony at the cemetery on Thursday:
A graveside committal service will take place at 11 AM on Thursday, July 12, 2007 at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery (10 Mile Road and Beech Daly) inSouthfield.
